Heating Systems

Furnace: If you have an old inefficient furnace you may be running anywhere from 50% to 60% AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency), which means you are sending money up your chimney. Think of it this way, with an efficiency of 60%, $0.40 of every $1.00 worth of natural gas your furnace burns goes straight up the chimney. Today’s high efficiency furnaces can reach an AFUE of up to 98%, so $0.98 of every dollar worth of gas burned by the furnace is heating your home. It makes sense to replace your old furnace, and do your wallet and the environment a favour. Call or email today for a free in home consultation.

Heat Pump: Heat pumps are a great way to save some money on your heating costs as well as stay cool through the summer months, but now we take one step further. What would you say to having a heat pump that could work off solar panels, and when not running, send that collected energy into your home to be used by your other electrical appliances? This is what our featured Bryant heat pump can do. Bryant heat pumps have SEER (seasonal energy efficiency ratio) ratings as high as 18, and sound ratings as low as 62 decibels, and while the heat pumps are solar ready, you don’t need solar to save money on your heating and cooling costs with these units. If you would like to explore the idea of adding a heat pump to your existing furnace, just give us a call or drop us an email, and one of our home comfort specialists will be happy to give you a free in home consultation.
